Yah that was one of my issues, all the threads are technically located above root (parallel to?) the mp forum, and I couldn't fix it without dling the whole site.. I might try again after they lock it before it's erased, set a machine running too just dl the whole site, I dunno

I'm not sure it would work, even if you go for whole website. Need the database copy or so it seems. Which means an admin has to back it up for export for a proper mirror.

 

Of course, it is possible to take snapshots with a crawler. But it will take forever and probably impossible to import properly.

After two and a half hours, my crawler still crawls and have not scratched a dent. Well, at least it does not get my IP banned. ETA shows about 3 weeks and it is pure html which means it is completely useless as we will have most of this in google after the forum shuts down. If EA permits of course. I think I'm going to stop now. Result has been inconclusive.

Maybe if someone hand copies all the mechanics info into a new site, huge pain in the butt but still probably magnitudes easier
